Leader was bred and owned by Dr. Van Kaden, David’s father. He was born and lived in the heat and humidity of east Texas for his first three years. Dr. Kaden owned his sire, Prince Fa Ali and his dam, KA Izabelle as well as her Sire and Dam.

Izabelle’s sire was Razzputin who also sired the National Champion HK Ivann. HK Ivann was a top FEI 100 mile horse and completed 9 one day 100’s. Izabelle’s dam Tezmaria was the daughter of Three Bars Racorca who was HK Ivann’s mother.

The Young Go Flight Leader

David and Tracy Kaden purchased Leader from David's father in July of 2006 and began the long process of preparing him for an Endurance career. The decision was made not to enter him in any races until December of 2008 when he would be halfway through his five-year old year. This would give him the chance at winning a National Championship his first year in the sport. The previous year, the winner had completed 615 miles, so this seemed like a realistic goal.

The first ride of the season Leader traveled to a multi-day ride in Arizona with three mares. He was well behaved and very sensible.

The 2009 season turned out to be hotly contested with two top stallions, KS Rubin and TAR Pistol, making a run for the National Stallion Award. It was a lot to ask of a young stallion, who ultimately raced 1,125 miles in his first season, with four different riders.

Go Flight Leader won the Championship beating KS Rubin by 165 miles and TAR Pistol Pete by 200 miles. David & Tracy feel that his good feet and large bone contributed to his success.

Leader in 2011

Leader is currently in training for the racetrack. David & Tracy are eager to show that he has multiple talents and with his excellent conformation and extremely low heart rate, they feel he is a natural. He has a real desire to compete and true competitive spirit.

Leader's first filly “Flight Leader Ali Kat” is entered in a futurity at Lonestar Park in November of 2011. Flight Leader Farm has three purebred Arabian mares in foal and two Half- Arabian mares in foal for 2012.
